Amala Paul, who is considered the upcoming star of 2011, celebrates her 26th birthday today. Introduced in Kollywood as Anaga in director Sami's Sindhu Samaveli, she played a controversial role of a promiscuous young girl who indulges in an adulterous romance with her father-in-law. Amala rose to fame after appearing in the critically acclaimed Mynaa. The actress has been signed for six big budget movies in Tamil and Telugu, which includes the female lead role in Deivamagan opposite Vikram. Amala was born in Ernakulam, Kerala to Paul Varghese and Annice Paul. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor's degree in St. Teresa's College, Cochin.
