Prabhu Deva's directorial venture Engeyum Kaathal, starring Jayam Ravi and Hansika Motwani in the lead roles, which was all set to grace theatres in February, has been postponed to April. The film is a romantic musical shot extensively in Paris, France.
"It would have been ideal for the Valentine weekend as it is a beautiful love story set in Paris with romantic songs by Harris Jayaraj. However, the producers feel that with the World Cup around the corner, it would be better to push the release date to April, which I feel is a sound decision," Prabhu Deva was quoted as saying.
Music composed by Harris Jayaraj is already rocking the charts. Sony BMG has acquired the audio rights of Engeyum Kaathal. The film also marks the Kollywood debut of young sensation Hansika Motwani.
K.V. Anand's much awaited romantic-thriller Ko, which was ready to release during the Valentine weekend, has been postponed. In Ko, Karthika plays the role of an investigative journalist (Renuka) who, with the help of her photographer (played by Jiiva), gets a scoop which leads to problems. With Harris Jayaraj's mesmerizing music and Anand's never-seen-before locales, Ko is definitely a must-watch film in Tamil. More details on the new release date are awaited soon.
