Word on the grapevine is that Karthi will be Gautham Menon's next hero. Karthi is currently working on Saguni and hopes to finish it before his wedding. Gautham Menon is busy with his Hindi remake of VTV, Prem Katha. After fulfilling their prior commitments, the duo is likely to do a film together, as Karthi likes the script Gautham has in mind for him. Once Gautham finds a producer, the film is likely to take off.
It must be remembered that Gautham Menon's best films were with Suriya, so it is to be hoped that he will have a similar dynamic with Karthi. However, there are also rumors that Gautham has committed to do a Kannada film with Puneet and is hoping to work with Kamal Hassan for his next Tamil film.
