Ameer to act in SAC's direction ?

Ameer is ready to strike after a year. His ‘Adhi Bhagavan’ is in its final lap with only two songs waiting to be picturised to complete the film.


After ‘Adhi Bhagavan’, Ameer was to do a film with Vijay for which he had already discussed the script with the actor. But Vijay needed time to finish his prior commitments.

In the meanwhile Vijay’s father SA Chandrasekaran wanted Ameer to act under his direction. The request was accepted by Ameer and the movie will start rolling in the first week of December.

The film will have two heroines vying for the hero’s attention. One would be ‘Virunthali’ Dhyana and the other is being finalized. SAC has committed to complete the film in flat 60 days from the start.

Bharath in Vasanthabalan film ?

Vasanthabalan who is half way through his mega budget period film ‘Aravan’ is again going for a period film as his next. The director who draws initials on his name after two classics ‘Veyil’ and ‘Angadi Theru’ is ready with the script for that.


It is going to be based on a true story that happened in Tamil Nadu during the Second World War times. Vasanthabalan has also finalized his hero and the budget for the new project.

Bharath is the hero of this ten crore venture and Vasanthabalan in confident of getting it right from the word go.

Shruthi Kamal Haasan Pair With Udhayanidhi Stalin ?

There is more action in the Udhayanidhi Stalin camp on the film which will launch him as the hero. The film which is to be directed by the King of Romantic Comedies’ Rajesh has found its heroine in Shruthi Kamal Haasan.


Shruthi who was waiting for a film which is as big as her debut film '7am Arivu' in terms of quality and grandeur has accepted the Red Giant Films offer without a second thought.

Director Rajesh who is playing it safe this time too with a feel good romantic comedy has changed the previously suggested 'Oru Kal Oru Kannadi' and has now finalised his catch phrase he created for ‘BEB’ “Nanbenda” as the title of the film.



‘Nanbenda’ will start rolling any time from now and will have all the fireworks associated with a Red Giant Film.

Vettaikaaran Dubbed in Telugu as Puli Veta ?

Ilayathalapathy Vijay's Vettaikaaran (2009), directed by B. Babusivan with Anushka as the heroine, is being dubbed in Telugu as Puli Veta. Noted production designer M.V. Gopala Rao has acquired the dubbing rights.


"The original was a big box office hit in Tamil Nadu. It collected almost Rs. 50 crores. The dubbing work is currently in progress. Srihari plays the role of a sincere police office in the film," Gopala Rao said. The film has dialogues by Shashank Vennelakanti, music by Vijay Anthony and lyrics by Bhuvanachandra, Vennelakanti and Vanamali.

The film revolves around a youngster Ravi (Vijay), who makes his journey from Tuticorin to Chennai to achieve his life's ambition of becoming a cop. He joins a Chennai college and makes ends meet by driving an auto rickshaw. He meets Suseela (Anushka) and falls in love with her instantaneously.

But his peaceful life takes a different turn when Ravi meets Chella (Ravi Shankar), son of a bad cop Devanayakam (Salim Ghouse), who tries to spoil the life of Ravi's classmate Uma (Sanchitha Padukone). When he tries to fight Chella, he faces trouble from Chella's father Devanayakam, the major villain of the story. What happens next? How does Ravi face the bad men? See the movie to know!

Kaavalan Songs on December 1 ?

The music of Ilayathalapathy Vijay's 51st film Kaavalan, will be launched on December 1, 2010 in Chennai. Kaavalan is directed by Siddique (of Friends fame), who also directed the original version. The film has a plot with plenty of comedy and action and brings Asin back to Kollywood after a gap.


The film also brings back Vijay-Vidyasagar duo after Gilli and Villu. According to the music director, the album has a couple of melody-infused fast-paced songs which will be a treat to listen to.

Vishal for Guinness Record ?

Actor Vishal is leaving nothing to chance and hopes Bala’s film ‘Avan Ivan’ will take him to the next level as an actor. In the process Vishal may create a world record also.


Buzz says that Vishal is performing an activity in ‘Avan Ivan’ which may get him a place in the ‘Guinness Book of Records’. It is believed to be something performed first on cinema and the whole unit is excited about it.

Aadukalam From Pongal ?

In an apparent bid to put an end to speculation that their next release ‘Aadukalam’ will hit the screens in December itself, Sun Pictures has clarified that the Dhanush-starrer will be a Pongal release.


This decision, according to sources, has been taken due to two reasons. One being the successful running of Sun Pictures’s Superstar Rajinikanth-starrer ‘Endhiran’ even two months after its release. And the other is the good show of the Deepavali release

‘Uthamaputhiran’ which also has Dhanush in the lead role. “These things have made Sun Pictures to release ‘Aadukalam’ for Pongal,” sources add.

Directed by Vettrimaran of ‘Polladhavan’ fame, ‘Aadukalam’ is set in Madurai. “It is a contemporary film which speaks about the lives, lifestyles, dreams and ambition of the people who belong to a sub-cult,” says the director.

Vikram in Suseendran Film ?

Vikram has now started taking personal interest in all aspects of his films apart from his acting.

Realising that only good scripts are going to take him forward, Vikram has said yes to a film to be directed by Suseendran. This film will start sometime in August next year. Suseedran after tasting big time popularity in ‘Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu’ and ‘Naan Mahaan Alla’ is currently busy with the off beat film 'Azhagarsamiyin Kuthirai' produced by Gautham Menon.

Meanwhile Vikram is also putting pieces together to shift gear. He has walked out of the films of Boopathy Pandian and Vikram Kumar. Even his planned with Selvaraghavan is shelved. The only film committed by Vikram as his next is the one directed by 'Madraspattinam' Vijay which has Amala Paul as one of the heroines to Vikram.

Jai in 'Vettai Mannan' ?

Silambarasan has managed to rope in his good friend Jai to play a pivotal role in his forthcoming venture 'Vettai Mannan', which is directed by newcomer Nelson.


"Simbu's friendship with Jai dates back to more than a decade and he offered him a role in his earlier venture ‘Alai’ itself. But things didn't work out at that time. Both are coming together now," sources say.

Saying that the role to be played by Jai in 'Vettai Mannan' will be loaded with action, sources add: "The actor is a regular to gym these days to equip himself for the character. You will get to see a different Jai in Vettai Mannan." a In the meantime, Jai is all thrilled about the release of 'Kanimozhi' tomorrow. "Debutant director Sripathy Rangasamy has shaped up the film in a gripping manner. I am counting hours for the movie's release," says the actor.

Kaavalan Release Trouble?

Looks like Vijay's Kaavalan, which was scheduled to hit screens on December 3, is in trouble! The Madras High Court today stayed the release of Kaavalan for the next six weeks. According to a petition filed by J.K. Saravanan, proprietor of Tantra films from Singapore, producer Ramesh has promised the overseas rights to him but recently Ramesh has sold the rights to Cinema Paradise. The petitioner also complained that Ramesh took 1.5 crore from him as advance.

After completing Bala's Avan Ivan, actor Vishal is all set to team up with Prabhu Deva for his next flick. Interestingly for his role in Avan Ivan, director Bala had asked Vishal to put on weight. The latest buzz is that Kannada actor Sudeep has been roped in for a negative role in the movie. Rajamouli had posted this information in his micro blogging site. Sudeep also played in ‘Phoonk’ of Ram Gopal Varma and also played the role of a reporter in his recent release ‘Rakta Charitra’.

After watching Sudeep’s performance in Rann, Rajamouli contacted him. The post says, “Sudeep agreed to act in Eega as antagonist. Loved his style in Rann. Finally ‘Eega’ is moving forward. I'm very excited.”

Vijay and Suriya Guest Role in "KO" Film ?

Jiiva 's forthcoming film 'KO' is based on the lines of "om shanthi om" so director k.v.anand decided to rope big stars like Illayathalabathy Vijay, Suriya, Karthi Jayam Ravi for a special number of song composed by Harris Jayaraj, Shaking the legs with Jiiva. Kolly wood Industry insiders reveals that it was Jiiva who did the trick however the list of female artistes in the item is still being kept secret.

Aadukalam December Release ?

Dhanush’s Aadukalam is gearing for a December release if things work out fine. The director of Aadukalam, Vettrimaran, who had earlier directed Dhanush in Polladhavan, advises the movie buffs to forget Polladhavan before watching Aadukalam.

He says that both the films are totally different and any comparison between the two will not make the film enjoyable. Vettrimaran also revealed that he will release two versions of Aadukalam on DVD of which one will be known as Aadukalam - The Festival Cut. This version, which will run for about 100 minutes, will not have any songs. The other will be the full version.

Vijay’s Next Two Films For 2011 ?

Vijay is seriously concentrating in his next film Velayudham. The next schedule of this film’s shooting will begin in Pollachi on November 20th and proceed till 30th. Several important scenes of Velyudham will be shot in this location.

Genelia and Hansika Motwani, the two leading ladies of this film, are also camping in Pollachi along with the unit. Further, director Jayam Raja is also keen on finishing the scenes involving Vijay as the actor has to move on to his next flick – the Shankar-directed 3 Idiots – which will begin in December.

Year 2011 is expected to be a good one for Vijay as two of his films - Velayudham and 3 Idiots remake are to hit the marquee.

Prabhudeva Wife Ramalatha Attempts Suicide?

Popular actor-choreographer-director Prabhu Deva's wife Ramalatha is going through a very tough time in her life! Besides the psychic trauma caused by her husband's affair with actress Nayantara, Ramalatha recently had to face a shocking news revealed by Prabhu Deva himself that his marriage with Ramalatha is not legal as it is not registered!

Afte this incident, Ramalatha has been gathering evidences, including ration card and her childrens' birth certificates, to prove Prabhu as her husband and even submitted them to her lawyer in anticipation of the upcoming hearing of the case at Chennai Family Court on November 23.

However, Prabhu Deva is said to have also collected some evidences to prove that Ramalatha's documents are fake! Hearing this, Ramalatha reportedly consumed an overdose of sleeping pills on Thursday evening, but was saved by her relatives. In her suicide note, Ramalatha has reportedly mentioned Nayantara’s name. The police have reporteldy registered a case based on the suicide attempt.

We know that Prince Mahesh Babu has given green signal to act in a bilingual titled Veta (also spelt Vettai) to be directed by Tamil filmmaker Lingusamy in Telugu and Tamil simultaneously.

Now, the latest buzz is that Mahesh Babu will romance two beauties Anushka and Sameera Reddy. After their combo in Kaleja, this is the second time Anushka is pairing with Mahesh Babu. But this is the first time Sameera joins hands with Mahesh Babu.

Veta has actor Arya playing the lead role in the Tamil version. Madhavan is said to be playing key roles. The film is produced by Dhayanidhi Azhagiri’s Cloud Nine Movies. Nirav Shah has been signed up to handle the camera and Yuvanshankar Raja will score the music. Nagarjuna Out! Arjun in Mankatha Project ?

There were rumours that Tollywood superstar Nagarjuna would play a key role in Ultimate Star Ajith's 50th film Mankatha, directed by Venkat Prabhu. Even Nagarjuna revealed that he would consider the offer, but didn’t confirm it. However, latest reports suggest that Nagarjuna will not be part of the film because of his tight schedules in Telugu and Action King Arjun would now handle the role.


Meanwhile, yet another actress has been included in the movie. Sneha now joins the ensemble cast comprising Ajith, Trisha, Lakshmi Rai, Vedhika, Manchu Manoj, Premgi Amaran and Ganesh Venkatram. Sneha will be Arjun's heroine in Mankatha. The unit is currently shooting the opening song 'Vilayadu Mankatha' in Bangkok. The film, produced and distributed by Dhayanidhi Alagiri's Cloud Nine Movies, is expected to release on May 1, 2011.
