Reports from Bollywood say that Priyanka Chopra has been approached for a role in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan. The actress is not new to the Tamil film industry as she has already starred opposite Vijay in Thamizhan, which was released way back in 2002.
Interestingly, there is a talk that Vijay will play the main lead Ponniyin Selvan. The film will have two heroines and one of them is Anushka, sources say. Priyanka has not given her go-ahead till now and considering this to be a Mani Ratnam film she may not let go of the opportunity, we hear.
This is a trilingual film, which will be made in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi simultaneously. Apart from Mahesh Babu Tamil heroes Vijay and Arya will play the other lead roles. Anushka will play the love interest to Vijay.
This project will be produced by Kalanidhi Maran of Sun Pictures and Music will be composed by A.R. Rahman. The movie is going to hit the floors in the month of August. More details about this project will update soon.
